Are you a car enthusiast? Do you have sales or customer service experience? Universal Vintage Tire is looking for one exceptional individual to join our sales team. Since 1968, Universal has been supplying antique auto enthusiasts with tires and wheels for their specialty vehicles and daily drivers. We are experiencing growth and need to add one more person to our professional team of tire and wheel specialists.

Our Sales Representatives have in office sales and customer service responsibilities and some warehouse responsibilities. Representatives answer inbound sales calls, assist customers with product selection, maintain relationships with existing customers and create relationships with new customers developing repeat business. This will involve returning calls and answering email messages as well as problem-solving customer service issues. The position also is responsible for executing point of sale, processing orders, and providing timely and accurate information to customers regarding order status and product knowledge requests.

Required travel to 6-10 local and national car shows/events each year. Loading and unloading trailers at these events. Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. at car shows.

Valid driver’s license required  in order to drive company box truck/vehicles to shows/events.

 

Qualifications, Education and Experience

High school or GED required; some college preferred

Minimum of three years sales experience required

Knowledge of tires and wheels a plus

Excellent planning and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills

Ability to use and operate a Windows based PC

Highly motivated and energetic personality preferred

Ability to lift 25-50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds on occasion

Must be able to pass criminal background checks and drug test
